Which driving licence is needed for the Vanderhall and the Can-Am Ryker?
A category B car licence is enough, a motorcycle licence is not required. Drivers must be at least 21 and have held a licence recognised in Switzerland for at least 3 years.
How much does it cost to rent a Vanderhall or a Can-Am 3-wheeler in Ticino?
The Morning Ride (3 hours between 9 am and 5 pm) costs CHF 300 Monday to Friday and CHF 340 at weekends. The Day Ride (9 am to 6 pm) costs CHF 780 or CHF 850. The Can-Am Ryker costs from CHF 250. Prices include VAT.
What is included in the price?
A personal briefing, fully comprehensive insurance with a CHF 500 excess, route recommendations and, depending on the rental period, 200 to 300 free kilometres.
How much is the deposit?
The deposit is CHF 500.
Where are the vehicles picked up?
At Roadster4rent, Via San Gottardo 164, 6648 Minusio near Locarno. Pick-up and return are possible daily between 9 am and 10 pm.
Can the vehicle be driven to Italy?
Yes, trips to Italy are allowed. All vehicles are GPS monitored and transmit data on driving style, speed and position.
How many people fit in?
The Vanderhall and the Can-Am Ryker are designed for two: one driver and one passenger. For groups there are team events and guided tours.
Is a helmet required?
On the Can-Am Ryker helmets are compulsory for both riders. Roadster4rent provides helmets free of charge. On the Vanderhall roadster a helmet is not required, but seat belts are compulsory.
Is the Sunset Ride available all year?
No, there is no Sunset Ride from September to March.
Which route suits 3 hours from Locarno?
For a Morning Ride, the Verzasca Valley with the dam and Lavertezzo, or a loop via Ascona. The tour through the Maggia Valley and Val Bavona with a short stop at the Foroglio waterfall can also be done in 3 hours.
How can I pay?
Online by Visa, Maestro or TWINT. Payment on site is also possible.
Can a tour be given as a gift?
Yes, gift vouchers can be bought online. They can later be redeemed or credited online when booking.
Can the times be changed?
Bookings of 3 or 5 hours can be moved. Individual times can be chosen when booking.
Can a Ryker and a roadster be booked together?
Yes. When booking, choose the vehicle type you want, roadster, Ryker or 3-wheeler, and book the vehicle.
Do Roadster4rent guests get a discount at partner hotels?
